Dear Family Members,
Welcome to the family resources section of this website. This is where we try to
answer some of your frequently asked questions about sending mail to Kuwait and
Iraq, about how to get in touch with your service member in an emergency, what
kind of things ship well in care packages, and much more.
Hopefully you will find this page helpful. If you have any suggestions or
additions you would like to see on this page, please email the web team and let
us know!
From our Web Team
Having been on either side of deployment, we'd like to take the time to thank you, the families, for your tireless efforts in supporting your soldiers who are overseas. We hope that this website will be useful to you in giving you information and letting you know that you are not alone.
Remember, families, that you are the most important support system your soldiers have while they are deployed. You are their link back to their "normal" world and everything that's going on while they are deployed.
Please write your soldiers frequently, and if you can't think of much to write, send colorful postcards instead. Email them if they have email access. Send plenty of family photos, cassette-tape or video-tape messages, so they can feel closer to you while they are away serving their country. Every little bit is appreciated.
We know how hard it is when you have a loved one serving overseas, and the best things you can do is keep yourself occupied, and to help support other family members going through the same.
