What you need to know
We know that a lot of you would rather personally send care packages, letters, and cards to troops instead of donating money or just leaving a message online.
Before you pick a unit to support from the list below, please make sure that
you learn more about mailing restrictions, general info on what ships well, what
you can and can't send, and how to best package things. You can find that
information
here.
Currently Participating Units
The units are listed in descending order, with the most recent unit at the top. In order to get any of these addresses, you must email the web team at the address at web.team@campdoha.org.
We require the following from our supporters: your full name, home address, home or cell phone number, and a current email address (preferably a work or ISP's email address, not a free email such as Yahoo or Hotmail). This information is required for security purposes only and will be kept strictly confidential.
Don't forget to let us know which unit address you would like!
1-502nd Infantry
Location: Iraq
Branch: Army
SPC Scott writes: "We are a MITT team. What we do is, go out and help the Iraqi Army get re-established in the community to show the people in Iraq that they can put their trust in their own troops. We help them do everything, from training, to dropping school supplies, to dropping humanitarian aid, and to just setting them up so they can stop the traffic of insurgents and weapons.
We don't have a lot of interaction with the main FOBs around here, because we are always with the Iraqi troops we work with. So we don't really get the chance to shop at the PX and get the stuff we'd like to have out here.
The main thing we'd really like to get are movies, music, and snack foods. We don't really need hygiene items - we brought a lot of that stuff. But anything you can send would be awesome. Thank you, guys! You guys are just as much heroes as we are, because without your support, this would be a very long deployment!"
Please note that there are no females in this unit.

They can use just about anything sent to them with the exception of female items as there are no women in their unit.

Army National Guard Liaison, Landstuhl Regional Medical
Center
Location: Germany
Branch: Army National Guard
Major Harvey, the Army National Guard liaison officer at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Landstuhl, Germany, has asked me to put the word out that they are in need of calling cards for wounded soldiers to call their families with, and also in items with logos from the 50 states to boost morale.
Those items would ideally be new T-shirts, ball caps, and the like, to be given specifically to injured soldier of the Army National Guard. It would be great if every soldier could have a shirt from his or her home state. And don't forget the territories, such as Puerto Rico, either!
